Giorgio di Palermo

Residence: Rome, Italy

Giorgio Di Palermo was elected in June 2009 and will serve as the European Player Representative through December 31, 2012. Di Palermo earned a Law degree from the La Sapienza University in Rome in 1989 and from 1992 to 1996 served as the assistant tournament director for the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament in Rome. He also worked for the Italian Tennis Federation at Challenger and Davis Cup events.

ATP Involvement: Di Palermo joined the ATP in 1996, working as a Tour Manager through 2008, traveling to around 25 tournaments per year. In 2007 Di Palermo was promoted to Director of Player Relations, where his responsibilities expanded to include the players’ retirement plan and officiating liaison.
